Kyiv/Munich, October 29, 2026 - ARX Robotics and Ukrainian defense technology company ROBONEERS have successfully completed initial integration testing of ROBONEERS’ SABER combat module system with ARX Robotics’ GEREON UGV platform. The integration marks the next phase of a strategic technical partnership signed on October 4, 2026 in Kyiv in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the German state visit to Ukraine.

The companies will integrate the ROBONEERS SABER combat modules in the M2 and MK 19 (M) configurations with the GEREON by the end of 2026, with initial deliveries to be made in accordance with the operational needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

The combination of the GEREON UGV platform with ROBONEERS' SABER module enables a single mission system in which GEREON provides mobility, power, and ISR capability, while fire support is provided by ROBONEERS' SABER module. Together, the companies are addressing the growing demand for unmanned combat vehicles that can be easily configured and rapidly scaled to meet evolving frontline requirements and protect soldiers’ lives.

The GEREON series is ARX Robotics’ medium-sized unmanned ground vehicle and represents the largest Western-built UGV fleet currently deployed in Ukraine. Its modular design ensures adaptability for a seamless transition between configurations and a wide range of missions, covering logistics resupply, casualty evacuation, EW, ISR, combat, and counter-UAS, among others. The active deployment enables the company to continuously improve its systems under operational conditions and advance the development of next-generation uncrewed land capabilities.

SABER is a modular line of ROBONEERS' remotely-operated weapon station, designed for various weapon systems. Integration with the GEREON UGV expands the range of platforms on which ROBONEERS modules can operate. This enables units to select weapons systems tailored to the mission, from assault rifles to grenade launchers, all on a single ground platform.

Quotes

Maximilian Wied, CFO and co-founder of ARX Robotics says: “Modern armed forces require platforms that can adapt quickly to different missions, integrate new technologies and work seamlessly with existing systems. This is exactly what GEREON was built to deliver: modularity, interoperability and mission-readiness. Together with ROBONEERS, we demonstrate that new defence tech companies can move at the speed the theatre of combat demands – delivering capabilities where it matters most.”

Anton Skrypnyk, CEO of ROBONEERS notes: “The SABER combat module is designed to adapt to the operational needs of military units, not the other way around. The integration with the GEREON UGV platform demonstrates this interoperability and shows how both companies are accelerating the deployment of urgently needed capabilities to the front lines.”

The new partnership follows a previous agreement between ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS to establish ARX Industries, a joint venture to scale the production of the Rys Pro UGV in Germany and Ukraine, with an initial production target of four-digit unit volume in its first year.
